A group of gay refugees from across the old Soviet empire discover the wreckage of an oil rig in the Caspian Sea. Inside, they find a quantum super computer capable of fulfilling the Brezhnevian dream of creating a centralized artificial intelligence device that brings about true Communism by reason of mathematical computations. The queers name the computer "G.O.D." Global Ontological Device and reconstruct it in an abandoned mosque, but none of them are sure exactly what this new God is capable of.
